Pb with softdevice and vdr in deamon mode

Hello I'm trying to setup vdr with a budget card (only, no ff card) and softdevice. When I launch vdr and softdevice from a terminal, everything is working fine (with xv) But I'd like to set up vdr as a daemon (i.e. launched by init.d) so recording can begin even if I'm not logged. vdr-xine and alsa audio mixer

Hello list, I've setup vdr with the xine plugin and am very impressed, but I can't seem to control it's audio independently of other audio apps. I want a setup where I can mute the vdr-xine DVB audio and load / listen to an audio CD / mp3 / DVD. I'm using Ubuntu Breezy and when I change the volume in xine / vdr-xine it seems to alter volume of any other audio apps eg totem. Infact it seems to alter the PCM level in alsamixer. Hi, I have my own reasons for this proposal, but it may be worth discussion in light of the previous thread. There seems to be a general need to merge/modify epg data both as part of the epg and once a program becomes a timer. is it not worth storing this extended/modified epg data in a new field in xml format. Keep last LiveBuffer: The last livebuffer will always be kept, if possible Last LiveBuffers: Number of last livebuffers, which should be kept. Zap Timeout (s): The time until a livebuffer recording counts as "last" for option 'Keep last LiveBuffer' Min. user inactivity (min): After this time the livebuffer shutsdown. '0' means that there will be no shutdown. Frameswait: The number of frames, which have to be received, until the replay of the livebuffer starts How to control the livebuffer: In normal liveview you can pause, rewind, ... with the according key. The play key displays the progress bar of the livebuffer. If you have no such keys like play, pause, FastRew, ..., you can go into the replaymode by pressing menu -> blue. There you can control the livebuffer like a normal replay. With the 'back'-key you jump to the position where you interrupted the live replay. If 'Keep paused LiveBuffer' is activated, the livebuffer will be continued after channel switch, when you had paused the replay before. The 'stop'-key jumps to the end of the buffer and the livebuffer doesn't count as paused anymore. As the livevideo is continously recorded, it is possible to get the just seen scene into a normal recording: - You can simply create a new timer. If the starttime is in the past, then the already seen part of the recording will be added. - Or you rewind to the startpoint and start an instant recording (by pressing the rec-key or menu -> red) - Of course you can cut the livebuffer like a normal recording. vdradmin yellow timers

Hi, I'm using vdradmin to set timers. I have one ff dvb-s and one budget dvb-t card. When I set two timers on same time but different cards the timers turn yellow and show the 'no more timers on other transponders possible'. If I set two timers for example in the dvb-t card in the same time and transponder they are green. My question is if the yellow color of vdradmin timers means that are incorrect and vdr will only active one of they or is a warning but the two timers will be activated. Thanks
