Hi, here's another small update, because there was still one bug: 2006-02-12: Version 0.9.12 new: - new feature 'pause when ... recordings exist" for search timer: If the given number (>0) of recordings exist, then the search timer will not create further timers. vdr+vlc streaming without streamdev

Hi, Has anyone been able to run VLC, used as a stream server, without streamdev? I tried without success: vlc -vvv v4l:/dev/video0 [...etc...] but it fails with a "can't access /dev/video*". I'm still lost/learning the framework, so could someone be so kind to explain me the relation between vdr and /dev/video*. I have a budget (skystar2) card, is that the reason why /dev/video* doesn't get available? do I need any additional kernel driver? Or, is it possible to have 'vdr' (or xine/… [View More]

Problem with text2skin and DeepBlue since VDR 1.3.38

Hallo, I found the reason for missing replay logos with text2skin, DeepBlue and VDR > 1.3.37 Parameters 'FileName' and 'On' where added to the functions cStatus::Replaying and cStatus::Recording. Text2Skin's class cText2Skin is derived from cStatus and overrides these functions. cChannel::Nid() should be renamed to cChannel::Onid()

The Function cChannel::Nid() returns the OridignalNetworkID and not the NetworkID, so it is a little bit confusing. This are two differents Values. So the cChannel::Nid() should return the NetworkID and cChannel::Onid() should return the OriginalNetworkID. I know vdr will not use this values, but I do. Greetings Patrick

General info: Softdevice plugin enables vdr to run on your desktop with so called budget cards. You'll get vdr output via framebuffer or X11-Xv or DirectFB or vidix to your screen. Decoding is done via ffmpeg.
