Hi, the burnplugin doesn't recognize the last '/' before 001.vdr. What can i do.

Hello Klaus, I would like to update my VDR installation to the latest version. But if was is likely that you release a new version soon (tomorrow) I would wait until then. If a new VDR release is not very likely to be released real soon, then I do the update now. Thank you, Dirk

Nexus-2 Rev 2.3: No remote, no PCM sound

Hi, I just received a new Nexus-S Rev 2.3 and installed it with kernel 2.6.12-rc5 and Firmware 261d. Video works, I can record and replay recordings. But I cannot get the remote to work and I have no PCM sound. Both worked with Rev 2.2 and everything else is identical. Q: Where to download patches

I'm trying to compile plugins for vdr 1.3.24 but yaepg plugin fail to compile. There are relevant patches for these plugins at HoochVDR website but for some reason none of the files can be downloaded (I have account for this site). Any idea if these same patches can be downloaded elsewhere? Br, Pasi

Which kernel to use?

Hello which kernel is "best" for VDR? On the one hand i read, that the DVB developers are only working on the 2.6. drivers and may (may be?) port them back to 2.4.x, if possible. I assume it will not be possible as "back porting" is no beloved job. ;-) OTHO Klaus only tests with the 2.4 kernel, as he recomends still the linux-dvb.2004-12-26 driver, which can't be compiled with 2.6 But then i read that NTPL is used by VDR, a feature only existing in 2.6 kernel IIRC. dvd-plugin Crash in combination with LCDProc

Hi there, i am using the dvd-plugin (cvs-version) in combination with LCDProc-plugin and VDR 1.3.24. I noticed, that the replay of a dvd only works in rare cases. In most cases the hole vdr crashes. With some debugging I found out, that the LCDProc-plugin calls the cDvdPlayer::GetIndex method every second, to get the current position in the replay. softdevice doubts

Hi!, I'm setting up a VDR with a budget cinergy 1200 terratec dvb-t card. The mobo is epia-M (svideo out). I want to use svideo but while I'm setting up I would use my crt monitor(softdevice+FB?) to see my vdr output. Can I done this with softdevice? With which output method? What output methods have I to comment(to not be used) in softdevice makefile to do this? Finally when I put the VDR in my saloon what output method have I to choose to use the svideo out?(softdevice+DFB?) Thanks

Hi, I eagerly followed the recent thread about using VDR on an Epia-M board either with softdevice or xine plugins. To sum things up: # if you want a real settop-box w/o keyboard, mouse, .. you better use the the softdevice plugin, right? # however, the softdevice plugin does not take use of the onbaord mpeg2 decoder.
